About this product
Los Poblanos Lavender Salve has been part of daily life on the farm since its earliest days. Originally created by Penny Rembe to care for dry, hardworking hands, it grew out of the simple need to tend skin exposed to sun, wind and long days outdoors in the high desert.
Over the years, the recipe has stayed exactly the same. What’s changed is how many ways people have made it their own. From hands and cuticles to elbows, temples and beyond, this salve has earned its place as a trusted staple for everyday care. Lightly scented with our organic lavender essential oil, grown and distilled on the farm, it carries the unmistakable character of Los Poblanos.

What started as small-scale salve, soap and lotion making to serve guests as room amenities at our historic Inn, has grown to include a robust line of products inspired by the Los Poblanos fields, guest rooms and kitchen. Our organic lavender essential oil is still distilled onsite at the farm and this historic agricultural land continues to be a source for ingredients and inspiration.
This healing salve excels at moisturizing dry, sensitive skin with a pleasant lavender scent. Customers said "this is the only thing that healed my...," "your skin is so soft," and it "helps me sleep." Effective on hands, feet, cuts, burns, eczema, and bug bites. A few noted recent batches felt grainy or less fragrant, and one missed former exfoliating beads.
This salve is so Magikal! It heals everything and I have given it to everyone I know and every time I hear back from whomever I’ve given it to that this salve is the one thing that fixed whatever skin ailment was happening with thier sensitive skin or some such that they didn’t want to use any products that are going to hurt them and I pushed them to try the salve and every time the person comes back and says this is the only thing that healed my … so my review is this is the very best thing for anyone’s skin. Me personally I love how everyone who touches me says “ oh, your skin is so soft “ and I know it’s because of this salve. So thank you Los Poblanos for creating this amazing phenomenal salve with an extremely pleasant scent of lavender which I also know has so very many healing properties and is a bonus that it smells great. I purchased my first jar and used it as a hand cream. I soon realized it was a great all over body moisturizer after my shower! No chemicals🙌. This is the only moisturizer I use now.
