Who We Are

About Los Poblanos

Historic Inn & Organic Farm

Established in 1934, Los Poblanos is a family-owned and operated organic farm, historic inn, restaurant, spa, and cultural events center in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley. Distilled just steps from the fields, the lavender essential oil that goes into our bath and body products reflect a deep sense of place. Our Farm Foods and Botanical Spirits are developed from the botanicals growing on the farm, our field-to-fork culinary model and relationships with local farmers and makers.

History

Designed by the region’s foremost architect, John Gaw Meem, Los Poblanos is one of the Southwest’s most magnificent historic properties. Originally a model experimental farm in the 1930s and 1940s, guests can still explore the original greenhouse, dairy barns and iconic architecture. Historic preservation is at the heart of our mission, and our regenerative farming practices, botanical distillation and small-batch products are a vital part of our stewardship for the land.

"The soul of Los Poblanos, lavender is at the heart of its signature products. The farm’s sprawling fields yield fragrant blooms that are carefully harvested and transformed into essential oils, lavender hydrosol, and lavender-infused bath and body products."

Generous hospitality

With guest rooms just steps from the lavender fields, amenities crafted from our own essential oil, and 25 acres of fields and gardens to wander, Los Poblanos is a farmstay experience unlike any other in New Mexico, and the only one with Two MICHELIN Keys. Enjoy food and drinks from our James Beard-nominated culinary team, treatments at the Hacienda Spa, and fresh baked goods and unique finds in the Farm Shop. Plan a stay at the inn and see the place that inspires everything we make.

"Our mission is to preserve the historic Los Poblanos Ranch by cultivating a dynamic business dedicated to sustainable agriculture, hospitality, historic preservation, and community.”

Rio Grande Valley Cuisine

Campo, our award-winning restaurant, draws from our own fields and from the farmers and herdsmen we've worked with for decades. Our Farm Foods line is a direct extension of that kitchen: sauces, seasoning and pantry staples that bring those same flavors home. The same philosophy drives our bar program, with cocktails built from fresh botanicals, house-made lavender simple syrup, bitters and our own small-batch botanical gin.

Hacienda Spa

La Vida Generosa, or the generous life, is inscribed on an original tile embedded in our historic property and defines our well-being philosophy. Balance, like farming itself includes sun and shade, effort and rest, tending and letting go. At the Hacienda Spa, that balance takes the form of botanically-based treatments, inspired by our fields, wellness classes and the freedom to define restoration on your own terms, from a cocktail overlooking the gardens, to a contemplative walk or simple, unhurried afternoons.

Celebrations

Our artisan products make meaningful wedding favors, gift boxes or client and event gifts, rooted in a sense of place. More than a keepsake, they are a piece of New Mexico's culture and craftsmanship. And if you're looking for the setting to match, our intimate weddings, celebrations and retreats hosted in the iconic La Quinta Cultural center among historic gardens and lavender fields offer an unforgettable experience.
