We know you have a generic version of this at home that may have been a promotional gift, but Handyaid is the real deal! Those stubborn, hard-to-open jars and lids don't stand a chance. Thicker than conventional grippers with raised cups, your hands will stay protected from sharp edges as you loosen the most stuck-on jars with ease.
Made in the USA since 1942, and run by the same family since the 1970s, its only evolution is the abandonment of Latex in 2014 to adopt a new material that is even more efficient. It's even still packaged in it's original 1940's design. This classic opener remains a gifting favorite as customers have found multiple uses for keeping one "handy" around the house. Store one in the kitchen, garage, tool shed, workshop and classroom for all those difficult to open items.

Grown on the farm and made by hand
What started as small-scale salve, soap and lotion making to serve guests as room amenities at our historic Inn, has grown to include a robust line of products inspired by the Los Poblanos fields, guest rooms and kitchen. Our organic lavender essential oil is still distilled onsite at the farm and this historic agricultural land continues to be a source for ingredients and inspiration.

We harvest the lavender by hand each summer and extract the essential oil through a traditional steam distillation process right on the farm, ensuring absolute purity.
Made by hand
Our artisan product line started with Los Poblanos owner and founder, Penny Rembe, who developed our signature Lavender Salve recipe over her kitchen stove after the the first lavender harvests.
Regenerative farming
A significant percentage of the property is dedicated to regenerative farming, a model driven by sustainability and stewardship of the land, ecosystem, culture and community.
